And so LabEx 2008 comes to an end. The instructors got together and swapped their notes on which students seemed to really demonstrate what LabEx was all about. It wasn't just about marks it was our sense that these students were using the LabEx opportunity to connect what they had learned in books to what they were seeing in the lab setting and combined that with a discipline to do homework and take notes while in lab.
In Biology the top prize was won by Julie
In Chemistry the top prize was won by Anna.
And the crystal growing competition was won by Mitch who won with a small but perfectly proportioned crystal of potassium aluminum sulphate dodecahydrate (or "alum "as it is called in your kitchen).
